Tenuta dell'Inviolata is located on a very ancient site. The structure that we see today was likely part of the settlement in Velletri by the Basilian monks, dependent on the Abbey of S. Nilo in Grottaferrata. The surrounding area was once known as "Inviolata," from the Church of S. Maria in via Lata (later Inviolata), which was destroyed in the terrible earthquake of 1806 that shook the city of Velletri. Following the earthquake, the monks left Velletri, and the estate fell into decline.
From that moment on, the history of the estate has been closely linked to the families who lived there over the past two centuries and who were part of the local history of Velletri.
The first restoration works on the houses were carried out by the Graziosi-Schneider family, who became owners of the Tenuta in 1845. At that time, the estate consisted of the master house and the houses of the farmers who worked the vineyard and the surrounding land with olive trees, fruit trees, and various crops.

Shortly after World War II, the property passed to the Cellucci-Filippi family, who continued to embellish and improve it, despite the agricultural activities were gradually abandoned due to the urban development of the city of Velletri in this area. Tenuta dell'Inviolata became an exclusively private residence until today.

The garden, whose layout has remained substantially unchanged for about 200 years, is of great value.

In 2021, Ilaria Palieri and her father Pietro Romano decided to open the estate and share it with the public. Through the renovation of one of the two houses on the property, a Guest House was created for about 10/12 guests. The structure aims to maintain a family character, while being equipped with all modern comforts. The aim is to promote and enhance the local territory and its traditions. Tenuta dell'Inviolata opened its doors to the public in May 2024.
